A hazy autumn morning in Maysville. The painting, "A Peace in My Heart", was inspired by the struggle of 18th Century Eastern Woodland Indians.

After the 18th Century border wars, many Native Americans of the Ohio Valley were displaced from their homes in Ohio and Indiana.  When I started this painting, it was my goal to express this Indian's thoughts and feelings about wars of the past.  I then tried to paint that expression on his face.  He now  has a peace in his heart.
