Description   I could smell the tobacco curing as I painted ''Leaves of Gold''.   Features... When I found this scene of tobacco curing in an early morning fog, I walked to the barn for a closer look. As I entered the barn, I could smell the pungent rank odor of curing tobacco. If you have ever smelled it, I don't think you will ever forget it. Standing there under the tobacco and smelling it brought back a flood of memories of life on the farm. Back in my studio, the memories and the smell of tobacco were constantly in my thoughts. The painting was easy for me as my mind created and recorded what I had grown up with. Steve White
