Description   Phillips' Folly was begun in 1825 by Wm. B Phillips, Maysville's 2nd mayor.   Features... Phillips' Folly was the largest home in town with 12 rooms of which 6 were bedrooms. Phillips ran out of money during construction and disappeared. It was said he won enough money in New Orleanes to complete the home in 1838. The house is Federal and Greek style.
